Spot Lights
If you’re in the market to choose a new set of spotlights to get fitted to your vehicle, there are a number of factors to take into account which will help you decide the right application for your vehicle.
We have used the cheaper, mid range and high end and tested them through all the elements. Overall we find that you get what you pay for. The high end extreme spotlights generally are the best you will get for long distance brighter, clearer light. When you want to stay conservative on your budget and want to still get decent distance and light for on and off road applications, the mid range lights that you will see on most of our builds is an excellent choice. They generally look a fair big nicer too.
The low end, cheaper lights we have found don’t give you the distance or the clarity that you ideally want to get, however they can be ok when paired up with a decent light bar.
The cheaper ones will not last the test of time, and usually have an outer casing that may wear faster. So if it’s longevity you are after, we highly recommend you go for a mid range as a minimum.
Over all spot lights won’t get you a massive range of spread, but they will give you the distance. If you pair up a good light bar with a good set of spotlights, then you will ideally have the very best combination you can ask for in off road lighting. If you look at some of our biggest builds, you will easily spot the biggest and best lighting solutions out there.
Light Bars
When it comes to Light bars being fitted to vehicles, we have been testing a range of brands in different applications on different vehicles for a number of years now.
We have found some of the most reliable and longest lasting are also some of the most popular in the market. If you look through any of our builds, you will see that we have mainly fitted the same brands of light bars. This is because we have tested them on our own personal vehicles and know the performance we are going to get out of them, as well as the style suiting the vehicle as an overall look.
When it comes to light bars being tested, we have tried them on long stretches of road, beach driving at night and a range of bush and outback scenarios. We believe that light bars aren’t the answer for long distance, however they give you the wide spread directly in front of the vehicle that allows you to see oncoming animals or obstacles in your path which is the ideal outcome of a light bar. When you get light bars that give a long distance spread, you may find that you lose sight of either side of your driving path, which can result in missing oncoming animals or objects.
For longer applications and requirements we suggest spot lights, for direct in front of vehicle, we recommend a wide spread which you will get out of a light bar.
Under Car Lighting
We offer a number of different lighting options for on top, out front, rear and side of the vehicles when fitting them out. Another option that not many other companies offer, is the rock light option for underneath vehicles.
We offer a range of white lights or coloured lights to allow for safety when in remote areas and not knowing what’s under a vehicle. Protecting your family from animals in the outback can be crucial at times, and knowing where you are and what is out there, you can never be too careful.
Obviously there is coloured light options available which can give a good ambiance lighting option, especially in an amber or orange light which will still keep mosquitoes or other bugs away, and the other colours can be a fun aspect added to the vehicle to compliment other colour accents you may add to the vehicle during the build.
There are a number of under car lighting options available, and we are happy to talk you through our 6/8/12 kit options available.
