Batteries
We’ve been trialling different batteries in various locations, and we are confident when it comes to recommending the right battery brand and size for your requirements. The range of batteries has grown dramatically over the last few years to the point of having slim lines that can fit almost anywhere, to direct replacement under bonnet options that give you massive outputs and fast charging options. Our batteries we offer all come with excellent warranties and guarantees and have excellent support for any information you need.
Inverters
Accessory charging generally only requires a small inverter. Something up to a 600w inverter can be more than enough in most cases. We generally can fit these in smaller tighter locations of a vehicle which allows you to not lose any space for more crucial storage. Your next level above this goes up towards your 2000w inverters. The 2000w inverters allow you to do a wider range of appliances such as Microwaves, Coffee machines and induction cook tops. This is our most popular rating of inverter and comes in a range of options from companies such as Victron, Enerdrive, Redarc and so on. These inverters are generally installed in canopies or behind rear seats of dual cabs with space permits. The next level above this is the 3000W inverters that really are only required for running multiple heating element appliances or an airconditioner in a caravan, but a lot of the time can be avoided as it generally isn’t an inverter that is easy to install, or have the space permitted unless you have a large canopy.
Chargers
Once you’ve decided on your battery and inverter size that you require for your build, at this point we can look at what the best charging solution is to suit your vehicle and your requirements. We have the option of power charging off main 240 power outlets when at caravan sites or camping grounds, however while you are on the road you will be required to have power while the vehicle is running. This can be a 30amp charger tucked away behind a grill for the smaller applications, or if you are running dual lithium under the bonnet you can charge off your alternator as a lot of our battery offerings permit direct charging without the requirement of a traditional DCDC charging method. Outside of these methods, we can also stack DCDC charging systems to produce higher charge rates off some of the larger American trucks that have a higher output alternator that can handle the larger input of power.
Solar Power
On top of all of these options we also offer solar input options. With our various testing over the years, we have tried and tested a wide variety of brands of solar chargers and landed on brands that we now love and can rely on. The solar panels we offer start around the 180 watt options and go all the way up to 430 watts. The range of sizes, shapes and outputs gives us a range of applications that are suited to the many options of vehicles we continuously work on. Doing the research and testing when we originally started means we have confidence in what we offer now.
